SEELift is a symposium organized by BLA (Bulgarian Lift Association), MLA (Macedonian Lift Association) and HUDIZ (Croatian Lift Association). This year it was held in Skopje, North Macedonia, on the 25th and 26th of September, under the title "LIFTS AND ESCALATORS SUBJECT TO SEISMIC CONDITIONS
SAFETY, ACCESSIBILITY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN MODERNIZING EXISTING LIFTS"
SEELift aims to establish a continuous exchange of experience and practices, a joint organization of training and projects in the field of design, manufacture, construction and installation of lifts, escalators and travelators, together with cooperation in the field of conformity assessment and technical inspections, even outside of this symposium.
The aim of this gathering is to exchange theoretical and practical experience by establishing links between elevator associations, as well as between companies and institutions working in this sector of the industry. Many elevator and escalator experts from Europe gathered in one place and for the third time had the opportunity to exchange their knowledge and experience, while getting to know each other better and building connections.
The idea behind all this is to develop continuous collaboration; stable establishment and development of our regional network – the SEELift network.
This year's symposium was attended by over 100 participants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Germany, Slovenia, Serbia, Spain and Turkey.
